Dear friends in Christ,
Greetings in His name.
It is our pleasure to highlight the missionary activities of our Diocesan Missionary Prayer Band.  In response to the Great commission of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature" (MK 16:15), the DMPB is serving the Lord for the past 40 years in some of the unreached areas of our land. It is rendering fruitful services to the under-previleged and down trodden tribals of the hilly regions and the most backward areas of Tamil Nadu and other parts of India.

   Today's Scripture       Friday, July 30, 2010

Job calls his friends "miserable comforters" who utter "long-winded speeches". People who can not identify themselves with others, offer poor help and consolation. Sometimes God takes us through certain difficult situations so that we will be able to understand those who go through similar experiences and offer the necessary comfort. A person who stumbles in his spiritual life will understand the weakness of a fellow believer. When God’s love fills our hearts we can understand the agony of others and treat them with sympathy. When a person walks towards the radiance of Christ, he is enabled to see the blemishes in his own life and he ceases to focus on the defects of others. In the light that we receive from understanding the love of God, we can only see our own fault. We can not magnify other’s mistakes. The tendency to find fault grows when the focus is shifted away from the cross.

Prayer: Father God, we beseech you that we acknowledge the areas where we have to change instead of accusing others.

Ref: Job 16-18

Message: JULY 2010    WHO THEN CAN BE SAVED?

This question was asked when Jesus said "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God. Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. " ( Luke .18:24,25) The people wondered how the rich ruler who had been keeping all the commandments since his boyhood, could not inherit eternal life.
