When God created man in His own image, He took care of the physical and emotional needs of man. He created the fruit bearing trees so that man can eat the fruits. He
wanted to make a 'helper suitable of him' [2:9]. But along with all these He permitted the forbidden
tree also to grow and look attractive. Man was given his option. Even now, bad alternatives are there, looking very atractive, drawing our attention. Our
happiness depends on our choice. Either we obey God and be blessed or disobey and be banished from His presence.
