The people forgot how God saved their ancestors from the great flood that destroyed all living creatures. They ceased to be thankful and wanted to make a name for themselves [Gen 11:4] forgetting God. They did not wait to know whether it was God's plan for them. They wanted to avoid being scattered over the face of the whole earth. But God frustrated their plans and did scatter them over the whole earth. When we do not seek God's help in our plans we might end up in failures. We cannot succeed if we depend only on our elaborate plan and excellent skills. What we plan must be in accordance to the will of God.
